How do I get in touch with the person who owns next door?

Gizza hand pls hive mind. Noticed some damp on one of our walls after all the big rain. Fairly sure it’s a leak from next door’s roof based on where it is. Next door is a rented property with no current tennants as the landlord is selling. Asked the estate agent to pass on a message for them to call us about it. They’ve asked them to do so twice to no effect and won’t give is their number. What do I do?

smoke em out.

Probably pay to get the details of who owns it from the Land Registry, then go from there?

I think you’ll have to buy it

Ah this sounds sensible

Actually, has it already sold? If not, arrange a viewing

Entice them back with a plate of fruit slices with some form of confectionary relish on.

Viewing would be with estate agent though. Did consider this…

Inform your insurer. Let them do all the legwork.

So? Do they know what you look like? It gets you in the house and means you can have a closer look.

but it gives you an in, then you can fix it when you’re round there.

It also might make the estate agent a bit more sympathetic to allowing you to get a plumber round

Actually, no they’d probably be pissed of at you wasting their time
