I think it’s still a pretty good and playable game even today, you often forget how awful loads of games have aged, trying some of the NES stuff that came with Nintendo online for a while and realising that only the mario games were fun at all for me

anyone play pacland on the c64?

there was a bit in the middle where you had to jump over a swimming pool that neither me or my sister could ever do, so whenever we got to it there was always a mad rush to get dad in from mowing the lawn or whatever to do that one bit for us 5/5

No but I played about 50000 knock off Pac-Mans on DOS

With @Rarity on the original - it’s not aged well in terms of fun, even if it’s hugely important in videogame history. Can’t play it for more than about 5 minutes without getting bored.

Championship DX surprised me. Got a few solid days out of it when ill at one point - think it had been in a humble bundle. Wouldn’t seek it out again deliberately, but it was a really solid reimagining. 4 out of 5 for that.

Pac of shite Man

Is this the first time this thread drove someone to buy a game  (i assume thats what happened)

I like it a lot, I do miss the old way you could eat ghosts though without the animation, never felt quite as satisfying

Gotta say, I’m not happy that Pacman grew arms and legs.

I love the Pac-Man 2 sprite

Internal gyroscope.

This is the 4k version of his original sprite…

I think he made an odd crying sound in that game too. A Pac-Man adventure game was always an odd idea.
