5/5 from me. That fucking voice. And the story of her life is just astonishing really. The best.

Quite naive about her personal/history etc, very much want to watch the doc

Easiest 5 so far.

Which way?

I’d be surprised if he wasn’t the most divisive but I’m also guessing dis is peak Kanye fan demographic so would push it up.

Thought it would be 3.9something I guess.

I can name two Aretha songs without checking the poll so I’ll be observing this thread from slightly afar.

Not really big on Aretha. Always keep calling her Urethra Franklin by accident. Quite embarrassing. 3/5

Up there with Bourdain for celebrities I’ve been most upset by when they died. The truest of legends.

The Amazing Grace album alone is enough to make her a 5/5.

5/5, done.

Not gonna find many easier 5/5s for me. Love this track so much.

5, yup. Not sure what direction the takes will come from on this one. Just great

Not only an amazing voice but also an amazing piano player and musician in general. I mean, she’s no The Supremes, obviously, but the new film is incredible.

Her dad was mates with Martin Luther King, and (apparently) she was a registered Democrat and a supporter of Native Americans rights as I’m sure you wanted to know.

Be nice to have one with no takes, just some appreciation and discussion I think.

Oh sweet, sweet, naive marty. Bless you
