Don’t think it necessarily follows that if someone says in very general terms that they think a band seem misunderstood, they are saying that they have some higher level understanding that separates them from the other plebs tbh. Also do think if you’re going to be purposefully glib and offhand about a band, you do open yourself up to someone suggesting that you maybe haven’t listened to them enough to form a worthwhile opinion, if that’s all they’ve got to go on.
