Yeah, but I wasn’t

So, sorry, but you are wrong

alright cool, whatever.

tbh, reading it back I kinda see what you mean, the worst thing you did was make a confusing analogy and before you even had a chance to explain it got called a twat. I’d probably get defensive about that too. I guess it was the doubled-downing that ticked people off. So apologies from me.

Any back to Biffy, I think this is my favourite from Vertigo

Four time signatures! Each one more boring than the last!

(your post about meeting your TV at a BC gig is really lovely)

Hey man, Mike Vennart here.

Rest my balls on your lips for 10 seconds exactly.

How’s that for a constant surprise?

bit of a hybrid i’d say

Liberate the Illiterate is such a great song.

Peak Biffy for me, a little heavy and offbeat but still lovely and melodic with a fairly cheesy outro.

don’t think i’ve ever seen an audience enjoy a gig more than biffy fans.

Big fan of first two albums. Vertigo is extraordinary.

Also big fan of the Biffoo Fighters material (puzzle etc) as someone needed to fill that gap.

Didn’t like much of Infinity but this video is mint

always enjoyed having a crack at moshing/dancing to them because it’s only ever possible for about one fifth of a song before they wrongfoot you

Biffy
Reuben
Pumpkins
Jeff Buckley
Get Up Kids

man I was happy then. I think I got full of myself when I stopped listening to Biffy. Might get high this evening and jump back in

but yeah. they’re getting a 5 for being a class act, a handsome bunch, and capable of insane bangers. also they never settled on a sound. good for them.

my only memories are of them are puzzle gettting a 10/10 in rock sound magazine and seeing a video or two on scuzz (this one is maybe an invented memory)
