My hot take is that it if you don’t like those then your opinion on rock/heavy/guitar music isn’t worth listening to.

Oh no!!! Was planning to get a lot done today at work, guess that’s probably on hold now…
Never really delved beyond the first four albums, but they are all 5/5 masterpieces so looking forward to thoughts from those more knowledgable

Easy 5 for me. It’s well documented enough how important they are/were so I don’t have much to add.
I’m very glad I got to see the End tour even without Bill Ward - though that young drummer is talented, was a bit too flashy for the style. Still, incredible.
Only ever heard a couple of their early albums (Paranoid and Master Of Reality). Not 100% my thing but easy to see why they’re so loved by fans of certain genres etc and definitely highly influential. Teetering between a 3 and a 4 on this one.
Fucking love the debut. The first track, black sabbath by black sabbath on the album black sabbath - is such a perfect indication of what they were about too.
Loads of belters on those first 5 albums.

Basically invented my favourite genre of music, 4 classic albums, still fucking great live. The Ozzy/Dio stuff is an obvious 5, but the rest is so bad a point had to come back off. 4.
I first listened to Black Sabbath at the age of seven. I’m now forty-four and they are still my favourite band ever.
They pretty much invented everything I love about music.
