Not to be a Delonge apologist but I Feel So is also a belter

i remember watching an episode of mtv cribs and the drummer had a skate ramp or something that folded out of his SUV, i thought this was very cool as a 13 year old

Yeah, I’m too old for this shit. I was never their demographic.

2 because “All The Small Things” is catchy and they’re not as bad as Oasis

Imagine trying to sound like Quicksand or Fugazi and coming up with I Feel So. Imagine not only not dying of embarrassment on the spot and hanging up your songwriting pen for good, but actually recording it and releasing it so other people could hear it.

Inconceivable.

1/5. Anything else would be like coming out in support of an American Pie film. Today, in the year two thousand and nineteen.

As someone said above, I was never super into them at the time because I preferred Green Day and the Offspring - not sure what put me off Blink, maybe they were too juvenile for me even then? But in retrospect they had some pretty good chops and a decent smattering of good songs. 3/5

This is low key excellent featuring DiS’s beloved Robert Smith:

4/5, no justification beyond the fact that Enema was my first ever album and I loved the shit out of it and I still do. Pure teen nostalgia but that’ll take you far.

Would be a 3.5 but had to counter all the 1s. Definitely better than Oasis

thinking on pimp my ride now, when xzibit put a flame thrower on someone’s exhaust once and it turned out this made the car illegal to drive and they had to take it off. 10k down the drain just like that. then 9/11 happened and blink 182 and pimp my ride seemed trivial somehow.

Easiest 5 yet! This is my Deep Cuts Moment. Fucking love them. Hugely formative band for my sense of humour, read into that what you want idc

Deeply problematic lyrics obviously but they bring me so much joy to listen to, long after I’ve gone cold on most of the bands I listened to as a loser teenager. And there’s some truly YEESH chat in The Mark Tom and Travis Show but the more puerile stuff makes me laugh and it’s the only live album I will listen to out of choice.

Find Enema and Take Off Your Pants and Jacket to be overproduced, although they have some great tunes. Cheshire Cat, Dude Ranch and self titled are my favourite albums; Dammit, Feeling This, What’s My Age Again, Pathetic and Wasting Time are probably my top 5 tracks.

Suck a dick, dumbshits!

I remember being absolutely baffled that my youngest brother was heavily into this shite so, in revenge for stoically biting my tongue all those years, i will gladly hand out my first 1/5.

Been a couple of mentions off the offspring (I liked them too), more problematic than blink 182. Green day seem gbol in comparison

Stink Bum Ate Poo

(2/5)

Like a lot of pop-punk, very much of their time and their image was often cringeworthy but an arsenal of fun, funny and catchy great pop (and hardly punk) tunes that my teens in 1998-2005 would have been poorer without.

I can stretch to a low 4.

The drummer’s face when he poses for photos makes me grimace.
