What do we think of Brakes by the way?
The only song I know is two shocks which i like enough but didn’t inspire me to look further. Think they had a rep for being good live, sure they did at least one EOTR but I missed em. Are you a fan?

Aye I think they are good fun for sure.
Only ever saw them live once supporting Belle & Sebastian but it was great stuff.
I’m very pro-Brakes, they are a lot of fun. I like that they made 3 albums and you could listen to the lot in 90 minutes, lots of short and snappy songs (as well as the very very short ones). Saw them once at EOTR and they played at least 30 songs, great time. Eamon is a force of nature: I think he’s now a real estate agent in upstate New York?

Saw them twice, reading 2007, where they threw pineapples into the crowd, and Great escape 2009 or 2010 (part of a Fat Cat showcase with We Were Promised Jetpacks and Twilight Sad). Great band. Miss them
