🎵 How Good Are They Really 🎵 Fucked Up

I can’t not consider fugazi a punk band, but agree that none of the others are.

Given that James used to post on here, I’d say they are a fairly DiS friendly band. I’m sure they’ll do fine.

Great chat everyone. Really enjoyed the thread.

Yeah, I really struggle with bands with a certain type of screamed vocals. With some voices I can just about get past it but others I just can’t abide.

Saw rolo tomassi supporting fotl, I think, and thought the music was great but couldn’t stand the vocals.

Loved this thread though and although I tried a fucked up album before and couldn’t get on with it, ‘normal people’ kept popping up on shuffle when I finally starting using Spotify and I really like it. Going to have a prolonged go at getting into dose your dreams, it may just be a matter of picking the right moment.

Cool, thanks!

I’ve already stuck Jacobs Ladder up there in the thread. Hmmm
Deciding between Chemistry of Common Life and Serve Me Right… Vivian Girls could be a good closer…
think I’ll go for 3+ min emotive banger SERVE ME RIGHT please

Going to press Reply now before I decide on Joy Stops Time

Try Rolo’s last album, the vocals aren’t as abrasive, you may enjoy it more

Just occurred to me that Damian must surely hold the prize for Most Intelligible Screamed Vocals. Niche achievement but an important one given how often their songs have narratives.

The ADD mathcore stuff isn’t my thing.

I would have picked this or Joy Stops Time
