I bought Blue on a whim during a sixth form Media Studies trip to LA and it was the perfect soundtrack. It’s in my all time top 10 at least. I love how her voice, similarly to Carole King too, is unpolished and lived in and weary sounding. I like the other albums of hers I’ve heard, never gone that deep but Blue is just, as I think aggpass said, utterly perfect.
