MBDTF is probably my favourite album ever.

Don’t care for anything else he’s done.

I really don’t care for the music of Kanye West. He’s not all that good as a rapper and I don’t see what the fuss is about production wise. I’m gonna come into this one with an open mind and see if anyone can educate me but I’m starting out at a 2.

One of the most important musicians and people of our generation.

His arc has concluded though and everything post-Yeezus is just sad to witness as far as I’m concerned.

The guy who came out rapping about Jesus and ended up calling himself a God on an album called Yeezus is one of the most fascinating career trajectories of any artist.

People will belittle his output based on his recent (awful) opinions but the idea that anyone wouldn’t consider him our generation’s Bowie (but more sonically interesting) is very saddening to me.

Like, I think a lot of his early singles were very good to great but I’m into his later stuff and he’s such a wanker

Everything up to Yeezus was incredible but its been partially ruined now by what a wanker he is. a 4 for me.

2 from me. I’ve tried a load of his stuff and Yeezus was as good as it got and boy was it patchy as hell.

Yeah, 4/5 sounds most reasonable here

my exposure to Kanye is beyond minimal. Heard some singles, but wouldn’t know which is which, that’s it

Probably the best 6 album opening run of any artist ever (graduation being the weakest album of 6 is insane) including 4 absolute game changers.

Undeniably the most important single figure in music this century.

Genius, prick, complicated, easy 5/5.
