…and heavily processed ebow. Maybe it’s supremacy goes without stating…

I mean this is quite reminiscent of Morning Bell in parts.

And this has a familiar drive and awkward chord changes to it, as well as a number of other comparisons

Surprised to find myself voting for a 3.

Rubbish at first, then world beating pompy lunatics with a daft as a bollock live show, then who knows what, haven’t ever listened. But if I was going to watch a stadium indie band, it would be them over most others.

(Struggling to actually think of others)

played the Plug In Baby video on youtube, instantly thought hmmm, why does that noisy intro so familiar? Oh yeah, it’s the intro to Palo Alto…

Gotta admit, New Born is a pretty damn good song. Still, Matt Bellamy’s voice and its lack of banger siblings can’t raise the overall vote above a 1.

I didn’t know this and I’ve never listened to them before?

I’m going to now

His voice can take a bit of getting used to, but it’s worth it, imo. And they are doing what I’ve been missimg from Radiohead, particularly on these last two EE albums.

Is the new one good please?

Only you can judge, but give the whole thing a listen to find out. There are some silly bits, as always, but some really great moments, that have grabbed me in a way only a few bands can. Personal taste though, ennit.

the only thing I remember about Everything Everything is the guy singing Who’s Gonna Sit On Your Face When I’m Not There?! over and over

nothing can fix that for me, sorry :frowning:

Had the muscle museum ep on CD which I got for a couple of quid and sold for 120 quid when I was a teenager.

Thatvwas the best thing about muse.

Also went to a muse gig in a cinema which I was given tix for. No idea if it was live or just shown but half the audience clapped after each song which was odd.

Just remembered that the click in my jaw is from a crowdsurfer at a muse gig (southampton guildhall circa 2001) kicking me in the face with their stupid new rock boots.

No need to apologise. Just wanted to make sure no one thought they were singing something that seemed slightly creepy, when they weren’t.

I spent that gig a row from the front protecting a kid from being crushed in the pit. Thought the Cooper Temple Cluase sounded dreadful, somthing I’m glad I was wrong about, but Muse played a stonking gig that night. Was the first time I’d heard a guitar tuned down to A :exploding_head:

i can’t remember them playing at all but tbh i thooght they were quite shite around that first album. that let’s kill music song did my head in. had an about face with the second album which i thought was pretty decent and saw em at reading a couple years later.
