lol everyone voted their 15 year old self’s favourite grunge band into 2nd place, sadly this board isn’t in any way popist / poptimist

Nirvana are a huge pop act, they’ve sold millions of records and you can buy their t-shirt in greebo stores

Could never really get into them. Struggle to explain why. Just didn’t click even after repeat listens.

‘4 on 5’ for me.

Loved them up to Aquemini. Favourite album a toss up between Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik and ATLiens. Stankonia the turning point for me - those singles just really weren’t my thing. Hated them. Pains me to see this…

where are these greebo stores of which you speak? Need to stock up on PWEI t-shirts.

don’t know their names

BAH GAWD THAT’S SHREWBIE’S ENTRANCE MUSIC!!!

Nothing at all post-Aquemini that does it for you?

LOL

“We are all sick of experts …”

outside of outkast or whatever genre they are, people shouldn’t be confusing big manufactured pop music as being for or representing the majority, that’s no different than Farage

Pleasing chord sequences, 4/4 rhythms, and singaling choruses are not the same as institutional xenophobia and racism.

simple slogans, things you can chant, feeling like you are part of a populist movement

rich people exploiting the poor once again

hope I can squeeze this on a t-shirt

I think there was one, yes. 36 Chambers the obvious choice, then I’d go Raekwon, GZA, ODB, and Ghostface’s first ones.

racism is a byproduct of class exploitation

there is no concept of race without class

If only there were a form of music which provided a platform for people of colour to talk about things like this…
