I have thought about it, but I don’t see why the people who’ve expressed happiness that these threads are on the social board should have their enjoyment curtailed because of this. I’m genuinely pretty disproportionately irked that what is meant to be a valid and lively discussion/debate about each artists’ MUSIC descends into this so often. Fair enough, disagree about whether someone’s good or not in a musical sense, that’s the point, and if there’s an artist for whom controversy has overshadowed their output to the point of unenjoyment then it’s good to talk about that too, in context, but I think the majority of regular posters in these threads want to stick to a friendly musical debate and will just stop voting/commenting if this goes on.

I enjoy your input on DiS. Something you said in this or another thread about how people only enjoy things that remind them of their youth and involve the rich and famous (which in turn I would take to mean, help them fantasise about escaping the anxieties and unhappiness that comes from being within the bottom half of the pyramid of capitalism) actually had me thinking for quite a while after I’d gone offline

But just can’t have you disrespecting andre & big boi like this :pray:

I think do understand where Bammers is coming from and am interested in hearing from him, I will say that.

This sentence for example gives me a lot to think about. It’s interesting to examine the perpetuation of the music industry and the role of capitalism in music.

I also understand why these threads need to be about artists DiS has heard of as otherwise they’d get about three posts.
