Loved them as a teenager/early 20s. Struggled to maintain any enthusiasm after seeing them live for the first time, and two subsequent times, all of which were really really boring. And as their output got more and more repetitive and my musical tastes moved on.

Hugely formative for my own musical education, spent many very fond pissed up teenage nights with my pals over-analysing OK Computer, Kid A and In Rainbows. Nothing has changed really, has it.

In Rainbows was the ultimate in being incredibly excited about an album and it not only living up to but surpassing those crazy high expectations. Havent had that since until the latest Everything Everything album really.

I don’t know what it is about them but their music resets me in a way no other music has ever come near to. It’s a shame they’re so rich, although I like that Thom apparently seems to drive low emission cars. I seem to recall he had a Punto 15 odd years ago and saw something about him driving a Tesla more recently.
