Some of the first album is excellent (probably, haven’t listened in years). Bullet in the Head clearly the best song. Don’t like anything past the first album.
5 from me. Discovered them when I was about 14 and Guerrilla Radio came out. Immediately hooked and went back to the first album and Evil Empire. Their debut is in my top 10, just a perfect mix of aggression, emotion, control and release, I love it and I’ll always come back to it. EE and TBOLA have amazing moments too. Me and my mate went on the train from Devon to see them at Wembley when we were 16, not long before they split, and it was fucking incredible.
Obviously Bruno Brookes playing Killing In The Name in full with all the swears and then just announcing the next record after without even realising ranks high in BBC Radio history.
First album is perfect and the other 2 aren’t far off. Bonus points for their politics. Wish I could write lyrics like Zack. Also a supremely good live band, catching them at Download is one of my all time favourite gigs.
Bulls On Parade is a tremendous banger, when they come back in at the end with the first riff is just
Also this is great, Bullet In The Head in particular
Tempted to mark them down for the collectible figurines they announced last week (no seriously) but I’m feeling generous. 5/5
