Yeah, I mean it doesn’t really have a smooth narrative running through it tying it all together, and a lot of it comes across a bit free form, but that was kind of what I expected going in tbh, given the circumstances. Definitely a part of what I like about it too. Find the majority of the songs on the first half are pretty well crafted and kind of incredible that he was making stuff like this in his down time while recording Blood Sugar Sex Magik. Second half is obviously a bit harder going, but still find it interesting (and not in a ghoulish ‘this is what massive heroin addiction sounds like’ kind of way). Reckon you should give it another shot if you haven’t listened to it for a decade.
