A comfy 4. Blistering live, some thumping records, cool as fuck, sound like no other.

I’ve always wanted to like S-K but it’s never clicked for me. Going to pay attention to the album poll and try again

For any music board folks who aren’t aware, this is why the wonderful @dingaling is taking my place today

don’t like the new album, don’t like how they treated janet, don’t get why the woods seems more revered than the rest… but it’s still a big ol 5 from me

One beat always remind me of a very good friend who I was secretly in love with (then not so secretly), that I’m still somehow very close to. Despite it being quite difficult at the time I strangely look back on the time fondly.

Oddly I’ve not explored much past One Beat. Will ammend this week, but it’s a tentative 4 for now.

Has to be a 5, even though I haven’t really clicked with the last couple of albums since the reunion. So, so many bangers and cool as fuck. The way they treated Janet was gross though.

For those of you needing a primer, you’re in luck! I made one years ago:

Amazing at their best but

Seems like a great place to start whilst I muck the guinea pig den out. I am glamourous as fuck.

Torn between a 4 and a 5. Really didn’t get on with their last album and their sidelining/forcing out of Janet was rough. But at their best they’re a stone cold 5. ‘All Hands on the Bad One’ is the earworm my internal jukebox seems to default to these days and I have no problem with that.

Gone with a 4 for now. Will probably bang some albums on in a bit and nudge it up to a 5.

Think they’re good. Not a massive fan and i feel they’ve got a lot more filler in their back catalogue than is generally acknowledged. The stuff that came out regarding Janet recently wasn’t great.

The wild flag album is my favourite release that any of the members have been involved with and they were great live.

A solid 3/5

  1. The best rock band in the world for a good few years at one point

Massive 5. Tough call between Dig Me Out and The Woods for best album, but going with DMO. Something about the production, just seems totally pure, no fluff and effects, every instrument and voice is clean and distinct. Multiple bangers too, but One More Hour is their best for me.

Probably my greatest achievement as a parent is that my 6yr old daughter is well in to Little Babies.

It’s a 5 from me. Haven’t kept up with the newer stuff but Dig Me Out and The Woods are enough for full marks alone.

4 for me. Can’t get over the last album being rubbish and Janet leaving.

love them. agree with FH that Dig Me Out and The Woods are both perfect, everything else other than the debut and the last one is really good too. has to be a 5 going with my rule of judging artists on their best few records

Going for a 4/5. Sort of wish they’d called it a day when they broke up after the woods. No Cities To Love is fine, but that original run of albums is great. Dig Me Out is excellent.

Newest album is dross and gutted Janet has left
