Lot of people on this thread trying awfully hard to hate a band that are, on balance, really pretty decent actually. Really don’t get the “dull” thing. I understand their ubiquity, and their being embraced by “normies” might put people off but each of their records has a lot to recommend them. 3.5 for me.

I love Lonerism and Currents. Probably in my top 100 of the last decade. Not as bothered about the earlier stuff or the slow rush. An undeniable talent and will get a 4 from me.

always find it weird - feels like the initial few posts in HGATR threads can really set the tone sometimes, but also I guess A Limp Mate aren’t the kind of band people necessarily go out to bat for that much, either.

Lonerism’s really good though, isn’t it?

Lonerism is great and Innerspeaker wasn’t too bad. Haven’t given much time to the most recent two though as i’m rarely in the mood to listen to them anymore. Probably should be a 2.5, but as I can’t, i’ll round them up to a 3.

Didn’t know there was a connection with Melody’s Echo Chamber - love that album.

Have tried listening to Lonerism a fair few times as it gets so much acclaim and (I thought) love round here. One of those albums that didn’t make any impact on me at all, just like some general mush of sounds. No idea 10 minutes after listening what it actually sounds like.

Not going to vote though.
