Fantastic, at last, a proper band with proper hair cuts.
Only joking. Massively over rated and the âgodfather of Britpopâ can fuck off.
But had about 3 amazing songs.

Iâm going to give them a 4. One point is because they effectively inspired the original strip Pat Mills wrote that started the epic in 2000AD that was Nemesis the Warlock:
When I read this I didnât know the band existed nor the song (nor have any real interest in knowing who did what song etc.) so I read that as âThe Jamâs Going Undergroundâ as the full name of a song, because at the start here you can see a huge number of cars going underground, which appeared to be some sort of traffic jam. Iâm not sure if that was also how Pat Mills was thinking, but in his case of course it would have been a knowing pun if so.

I get that Weller is Weller and all that but The Jam were a fucking brilliant singles band and a couple of their albums still stand up too. Yeah theyâve become a bit known for the âproper haircutâ brigade liking them but theyâre a lot better than that suggests. Down In The Tube StationâŠ, Town Called Malice and Thatâs Entertainment are worth a 4 by themselves.
