I used to get those bitchy celeb gossip emails in the noughties, and when that loser out of that band married Chantelle from Big Brother they mentioned him sheepishly buying a Ramones best of CD from Selectadisc. The headline was Beat On The Prat :,)

Ramones were great cause early teens my main interest was pretty boring 50s rock and then when I listened to the Ramones it was like “yeesss making this really loud and fast is loads loads better.”

Agree, they should probably be a bit higher than that

What the actual fuck?

Not as good as Rage Against the Machine. OK then.

That reminds me of TheBeautifulOnes_/some_bloke’s excellent 70s/60s/50s number 1s threads on the old boards. Seeing a 19-year-old in 2012 get to grips with the Sweet, Suzi Quatro, Slade and T. Rex was great entertainment and educated me a lot too.

Wherever he is now, hope he’s well and I wish him well.

A great start for How Tasty Is It Really: Bread

Probably chuffed to little mint balls about getting tickets in the Coming Up 24th anniversary presale.

The Ramones Museum in Berlin is really cool, worth checking out if you’re a 5/5 fan. https://www.ramonesmuseum.com/

The documentary is brilliant isn’t it? The relationships within the band are so fucked up. Also, Johnny Ramone seems like an odd person…a guy from the New York punk scene who is a Republican?! The best bit in the documentary is seeing the video Dee Dee made for one of his hip-hop songs.
