Soft Shock is a very sweet song

Even Mosquito has Sacrilege on it. Fever to Tell and It’s Blitz are both great, Show Your Bones is good. 4/5

3 from me. Never really found the albums lived up to that first EP which was really thrilling (Bang and Miles Away especially), but before Mosquito always had a decent track or two on them.

Zero is a mammoth tune, and an ever-present on exercise playlists for me, never fails to give me me a burst of adrenaline when the synths escalate.

Who was it on here who had an excellent story about Nick Zinner’s photography? @alcxxk?

Anyway, 3. Fever to Tell was very good, Show Your Bones also good, everything else meh.

It’s a 4/5 but very much a band of diminishing returns. FTT is incredible though.

4/5 from me. First 3 records are great, although SYB is a bit fillery. Pin was the first song of theirs I heard and it was genuinely quite thrilling. They come out of Meet Me In The Bathroom quite well too and they’re fantastic live, Karen O is an all-time great frontperson. Have never heard Mosquito and probably never will.

Never released a truly great album (although at least two very good albums and one good one), but a lot of great singles in there. Karen O is magnificent vocalist, who pops up all over the place making things better too:

Fairly confident 4

Some good songs. I think It’s Blitz was pretty good generally.

I’m going with a 5. TBF they don’t really deserve it for the albums after Show Yr Bones but their ATP gig was so so good and they were still so good live on the tour of album 3 (can’t recall the name) that fuck it, they are in with the 5. Thanks.

few really good songs but never loved any of their albums. FTT has a nice sound running through it and they landed the it’s blitz reinvention pretty well i guess

If only there was a list of albums provided at the start of these threads.

Hey man, I was just writing my feelings.

Other people have referred to the EP as ‘Master’ so I hope you’ll be ragging on them too

Maps is just wonderful.

Haven’t heard enough to truly rate out of 5. Had a phase buying their 7"s a while back. Not much bad to say from what I’ve heard.

??? That’s what it was called?

It’s just the Yeah Yeah Yeahs EP. The picture happens to show her necklace which has that word on.

It’s fine. Just as it’s fine to say ‘the 3rd album’

Great live band, couple of really great albums and Mosquito and Show Your Bones both have plenty of good stuff. Couldn’t tell you the last time I really listened to them, but sure I’d still really enjoy it if I did.

Shame they’ve been gone for so long, but Karen O’s stuff with Danger Mouse last year was brilliant

You didn’t say ‘the 3rd album’. You said you couldn’t recall the name of album 3. Your story is falling apart like a wet cake, Theo.
