Must be loads of copies out there that look similarly mucky. Wish I’d just left the balloons on tbh.

The ‘Blue Marvel’ edition:220px-Sufjan_Stevens_-_Blue_Marvel

Aye that’s why the ones that had no balloon sticker and Supes in great condition are £££

I’d like a Superman copy so hoping DC wise up for the 15th or 20th anniversary lol

My CD copy just has empty blue space where Superman/balloons would have gone

Got a feeling my CD copy is the same, can’t be bothered to find it to confirm that though

That’s even weirder.
Can you scan or photo that and we can have a contest to photoshop something funny in that Capones is looking at.

Needs a balonz balloon photoshop job

Someone please do this with Ic Smics photo there.
Edit: running it through a cartoonify/art app might make it fit the artstyle more too maybe

I tend to listen to albums while I’m working on something so unless a passage on an album is actively horrible to listen to or extremely beige I don’t really mind, just a little bit of a lull or whatever, especially if there’s big moments around it.

Curious to listen back to this album now to see if the second half dip is being exaggerated

having heard it for the first time today, Predatory Wasp is a very good song imho

Love this album so much, and the tour at the same time was great too - saw him twice at Kings College Union I think, and then Shepherds Bush later on. Seven Swans and Adz are also contenders for my favourite Sufjan album, but the rest don’t come quite as close. Definite ten for me.

trying to remember what any of the songs on this sound like, but all i get is belle and sebastien popping into my head.

6 ?

Wrote in a hurry in a lunch break

As you obviously inferred from my bad writing, all of those are equally sprawling and ambitious.

Haha no worries, I was just making a wee joke at those albums expense.

Also, you can’t deny that those ARE albums. They exist, and are albums.

the version on Austin City Limits is iconic. Those backing vocals!

I totally agree, some albums took months/years to get past the opening run of 6 tracks back in my teens sometimes but then you discover a whole other collection of songs…did this with Mellon Collie…didnt listen to the second disc for years
