Think I was just born at the wrong time for it, and being the contrary bastard that I am, anything in the pitchfork ‘canon’ especially with old hip hop is suspect. tried many times and while I appreciate the sentiments I don’t like the sound of any of it. I do however love the ‘got a letter from the government’ lyric, but think that Tricky did it better.
