It’ll go top and loads of people will get a bit weird about how they think it’s impossible there are Interpol fans on here and we’re all in the pocket of Big Gloom or something?

Antics is a great album too, it’s just not quite TOTBL, an 8 or 9.

Good song, great riff, good verses, chorus feels a bit tacked on. A highlight on Antics but wouldn’t be on Bright Lights. Cruise takes it.

Along with the choons, it’s the great use of the rhythm section on TOTBL is what elevates it above their other albums imo. You can still hear it here and there on Antics. Not Even Jail is another really good one for that. solid groove.

yeah a big part of the reason TOTBL means so much to me is that it made me have a better understanding of bass playing and its potential for interplay (heh) with other instruments. Primarily the drums, of course, but Carlos acts like the lead guitar at times too.

Always my favourite type of bassist

Length of Love as well, seriously underrated in their canon

Never really gotten into Interpol tbh, they totally should be my thing but just never been that fussed. TotBL is pretty decent though but rarely fancy sticking it on. Gone for a 7.

Ahahahaha that fucking score you fucking marks

It’s fine. At least it’s below the other 4.

Not now, Theo.

7.91 for Turn On The Bright Lights. Some might say that’s disappointing but I guess that’s what you get for touring with Morrissey
