:TV: How Good Was it Really: Garth Marenghi's Darkplace 📺

Definite 5/5. Would actually give it 6/5 if I could due to the absolutely excellent commentary track - done in character - on the DVD.

I was walking down Charing Cross Road one morning and Matthew Holness was walking towards me. As we passed I said “Hi Garth!”

And he turned around in character and said "Ah! A fellow traveller of the night I see!

We’ve all had it tough, Dag. When my wife died, I could barely finish my lunch.

Anyone want to make a pilgrimage?

Still the greatest piece of writing advice I’ve ever heard:

“Just leavvvvvve!”

I think the first episode is pretty much perfect, I have watched it so many times over the years.

Edit: Forgot about the cat being thrown in too, and Alice Lowe’s turn into position just before that clip starts…it’s so good. Easy 5, still watch it once every year.
