Shame. Just remember feeling like it flourished a bit at that point and escaped some of its previous trappings, but maybe it didn’t. I’ll have to rewatch and see!

certainly did that

not so much

I like the bit where herr lip says ‘sent me on a wild goose cake’

I love LoG.

Favourite stand alone sketch is the store detective affectionately known in my household as “chalk it up”. Little slice of Shearsmith genius squeezed in:

Tubbs is endlessly quotable too.

Always using “twelfty”, “e-blubblubblub”, “did the plan work Edward?”, etc.

Big fan of the show

The wrongest statement on the internet ever. Right there.

the ending of S3 is a bit disappointing actually. the way each episode ends with the same event but from a different perspective each time so you learn more about it as the series goes on is great but then in the last episode or two it loses direction and goes a bit too silly.

otherwise good though. must rewatch.

Nope it’s me, at least for S2 eps 1 to 3. Plus a whole audience.

However I thought there wasn’t a laughter track on S1 and the decision to add one for S2 got a lot of grumbles.

I think unless you have an actual live audience with the actors it never works personally. You can see how they work off the audience being there, the entire dynamic is different. Otherwise bin it off. Recall US DVD forums where Americans buying MASH on DVD tried the no laugh track we got and were blown away.

League of gentlemen is fucking great, m8s.
Disclaimer: I was 15 and living in the north when it first aired so exactly the right demographic. The person I live with was neither of those things and hates it with a passion.
The scenes at school with everyone doing the orange juice bit the morning after that first aired were incredible. Don’t think it’s just nostalgia though, reckon it stands up

This is the worst insult I’ve ever received. Shaken me to my core.

Can we do south park soon @AQOS ? Or is that still running?

I’d like to have the opportunity to officially state how much I hate that as well. I’m finding these threads very cathartic. Thank you. x

Used to feel inferior because of the high brow tastes of dissers, now I know I shouldn’t’ve

Still going, still great, don’t irk me.

Our paths diverge, I hate South Park.

Shocked that thewarn doesn’t like LoG. Wonder what happened?

I think its very mean about village shopkeepers

Can we do The Day Today/Brass Eye?

Obviously it’s a classic but I wonder how it holds up now the news is one big fucking satire itself. I excitedly showed my girlfriend the first episode of The Day Today. Got a few giggles, I wasn’t laughing hard myself, just smiling at the classic bits I remember.
