dunno why people can’t accept I like fringe more. x-files was a seminal show, but was really hit and miss, with a lot more miss. fringe was consistently great (except for the last season where the concept was a bit rubbish, but the ending was good), stronger emotional core (walter and pacey) than the x-files (no one really cares about mulders sister, we have never met her), kept things fresh with each season going off on its own tangent. overall a much more satisfying series as a whole

genuinely got much more enjoyment, more consistently, from fringe. Switch to the 80s theme/titles was fucking joyous.

Also, my walter impression is superb.

you ever play Heavenly Sword ? Anna Torv did the voice and motion capture for the main character and it was really eerie seeing how well she’d been captured

YES. fringe has so many OMG yes moments. Camera pulls back and they were in the world trade centre and there’s like a zeppelin flying around or something.

I think I kind of stopped paying a lot of attention when they became cgi though.

Also LOVE the way Anna Torv plays cool parallel Olivia by slouching/leaning back a bit more and hooking her thumbs into her belt (and yet for some reason this made me fancy her much much more?!)

this thread is making me want to rewatch it though

I’m so rubbish at remembering TV programmes (and I have a pretty good memory): Cow, Boston err Dawson, Lane Reddick as the boss?

As we were watching the Wire and Fringe concurrently, me and my wife call Lance ā€˜Daniel Broyles’.

Actually, thinking about it it’s mostly just me.

Pretty sure he was Daniels for us (well me) like the vicar in WD is Carver.

Read this post out of context and spent ages puzzling over which episode of It’s Always Sunny it was, convinced I couldn’t remember it at all.

That season 1 storyline where they’re looking for pieces of some puzzle and a secret society and something about the English man from Mad Men who separates and has to glue himself back together in a German prison.
