I don’t think I’m exaggerating when I say I think it’s probably the pinnacle of comedy in it’s purest form of just trying to get people to laugh.

That does not surprise me. I was enjoying reading your informative Great Things in Cartoons miniseries upthread, and each one made me think of Wile E Coyote and The Roadrunner.

Coyote v Bugs Bunny might just be even better.

Will there be more in your Great Things In Cartoons series? I am enjoying them immensely.

@anon89873996 sounds like someone can’t think of any more reasons why cartoons are good

I would have enjoyed it more if there weren’t singing every fucking episode.

Integral part of the package for me. Every episode a new gag-filled earworm.

I don’t like musicals. They are evil!

Great Things in Cartoons: Part Five

Innocuous piece of everyday plumbing (eg hosepipe or tap) which is seemingly in perfect working order malfunctions every time it is used by the antagonist. Reasonably assuming a blockage to be the cause of the issue, the character will closely inspect the item at point-blank range. At this point, the item miraculously starts to work again and blasts the character in the face with a powerful jet of water. We laugh as a result of this.
