Yeah Creed is the worst regular cast.

Donā€™t know why the US didnā€™t have a great IT guy. They had that one that everyone was mean to but he was pretty much pointless.

Both are fives.

Office UK is sublime, lightning in a bottle combination of writing and performances, captures the drudgery of office life and the desperation of these characters perfectly, and nails the balance of darkness and sweetness.

Office US is broad, generous, silly, charming. Itā€™s totally different (after sensibly abandoning the original scripts) like it needs to be. Might be the TV series I take to a desert island because thereā€™s lots of it and itā€™s all enjoyable. Quality definitely drops once Michael leaves but the ensemble is so strong it still works (the real failing is Andy - they canā€™t decide what to do with him and it never works). But even then you still get amazing moments, James Spaderā€™s whole run as Robert California is one of the great comedic performances of all time.

There is a specific IT guy who Michael hates (he tries to pretend that the office is closed when he arrives) but I think heā€™s only in the one episode and he doesnā€™t have any good lines like the UK one.

Creed is one of the places where Office US is at its silliest but I donā€™t see that as a negative since itā€™s still really really funny

No I havenā€™t. We are on a rewatch at the moment (season 7) and Toby couldnā€™t bring himself to go into a church in the one we watched last nightā€¦ so I agree with the theory.
