Well, we had to do it eventually.
But first, we have a new leader:
|The Office UK
|The League of Gentlemen
|The Office US
|Malcolm in the Middles
|Only Fools and Horses
So, The Wire.
First, can I please ask that we don’t talk about The Sopranos. We’ll do The Sopranos. Let’s talk about The Wire.
How good was The Wire really?
Astonishingly good, obviously.
That list is all over the place isn’t it
Yeah Malcolm in the Middles and The Office US should be much higher, and Lost should be bottom.
my favourite tv show of all time, have rewatched it about 5 times now
got a lot of love in particular for this scene
Top five should be the top five though, just about.
ha, think this was the only scene in the whole series i really hated
“What on earth did I do?”
“Omar will be here shortly”
think you’d get a really different result if you had showed everyone a complete list and asked them to vote for each at the same time
Season Four is probably the pinnacle of TV as a whole IMO. As powerful and heartbreaking as any equivalent documentary could possibly be.
So, so brilliant. If this doesn’t top the list then the list is wrong.
Season 4 is my least favourite, 2 is my favourite.
It was brilliant, no desire to ever watch it again.
i also think that with any truly great tv it stands up incredibly well to rewatches, on first watch i was frustrated with a lot of the second series and just wanted them to get back to what i felt was the “main” story but now it’s actually one of my favourites
Only watched it for the first time around this time last year, just kept putting it off but can easily see a rewatch happening soon.
