Depends how quick you are. Reckon the majority would run under 14-15s.

Once it got to 1500m and above I’d back myself.

You have to be physically fit because you’re holding the boat in a position to catch the most wind, when it wants to do the opposite.

I’m pretty fast for a nobody, I think I could do that

just had a google and only found photos of slender, ripped weightlifters, though, so now I’m doubting the existence of the enormous slow ones

There was definitely some massive bloke from somewhere like Fuji or Tonga who failed to qualify for the discus or something, but then entered the 100m sprint because somehow there was a free entry space and he was pretty slow but also pretty fast

I’m remembering lots of the detail of this one.

Lawrence Okoye was the British discus champion who went across to try out for the NFL. His best 100m time was 10.95 before he concentrated on the discus (and bulked up as a result).

He’s now back competing at discus again.

A few years back Goose Island brewery in Chicago offered a prize for anyone who could kick a 43-yard field goal after the Chicago Bears kicker failed to do it. The conditions were bad, but no one managed it:

And yeah. 14.23 for a 300 pound, probably bang average shot putter is still pretty quick, and would beat the vast majority of disers
