I could imagine someone incredibly lovely but socially awkward asking their more confident mates to write their tinder bio for them and completely misrepresenting themselves. (not saying this is the case here, the lad in question may well be a prize tool).
Dating apps are a massive slog few people in the world might be compatible with you. It’s very hard to represent your complex personality with a few words and a couple of pictures. Dating apps do represent an opportunity to meet new people though and if you’re looking for an avenue it will present one. Even if you have to have dozens of dull dates with people you don’t click with to find someone more compatible. I’ve had some great relationships and made good friends through tinder and plenty of disappointing evenings, I’m lucky though living in a big city, it’s harder in more rural environments.
I don’t think it’s healthy to look at either being in a relationship or being single as a better sense of being. We’ve just got to try to enjoy our lives and enhance the people in the world we care about.
