Not to rise to obvious trolling, but (rises anyway…)

I haven’t played a game in about 5 years so I’ve got no personal stake in the argument, but it’s just so reductive and small minded that it annoys me anyway. This isn’t people judging a certain individual game (like they kasabian example) but dismissing an entire art form. The equivalent would be saying you wouldn’t go out with someone who reads or likes art or watches TV - totally fine to have a preference but those statements would all seem pretty crazy and I don’t see how dismissing all gamers is any different

tv: don’t really watch it

films: only watch with other people so would always just watch the whole thing

books: haven’t read one for 10 years

games: will mostly complete anything I start so I can add it to my speadsheet.

DiSers music: will always try to listen to a full album/EP or whatever.

my own music: will finish the skeleton of most tracks in one day, come back and if it seems shit the next day will abandon.

Tv Shows: Somewhere between 2-4 episodes-ish? This is based on me only watching 2 eps of Silicon Valley and binning it off and 4 eps of Walking Dead before binning it off and deciding it was shit.

Same:

Albums: 2-3 listens
Computer games: 1 hour
