I think this has happened to me perhaps twice

which is shockingly seldom considering my partner says that I spend the entire night thrashing about and rolling on top of her. the fucking liar.

Don’t think I’ve fallen out in recent memory. I do have a really annoying uncontrollable sleep habit of randomly flailing my arm out once in a while. I’ve hit my girlfriend at lease once by mistake (felt horrible but obviously I didn’t mean it) and I’ve elbowed the bedside cabinet (sometimes quite painfully) loads of times.

I’ve occasionally found myself dangerously close to the edge of the bed before I’ve realised. No recollection of actually falling out as an adult though

Never, but I enjoy the delusion of falling your brain sometimes sends you for a split second.

I used to go out with someone who sleeptalked a lot and would sometimes be very active in his sleep, to the extent that people often don’t believe stories i tell about it or say he must have been pretending to be asleep. He sleep punched me a couple of times.

I don’t think I ever have. When I was young enough for it to be an issue (when I was a baby), I was sleeping in a cot anyway.

Only when I was a child.

Wait! Come back, there’s more.

I slept on the top bunk as was my God-given right as the eldest and I fell out one night and did not wake up. Got found by parents sleeping on the floor in the morning.

Wish I slept that soundly now.

Buy a bigger bed

in my time of having no proper bed, this never happened

in my time of having a bed, this has also never happened

maybe you’re dreaming about rolling down a grassy bank on a regular basis?

Used to all the time. Think it’s because I had a futon throughout my teens and early 20s and didn’t develop enough height/danger response while sleeping as a result.

That said, Offspring II falls out of bed all the time so maybe it’s genetic

Haven’t fallen out of bed for ages, but did wake up last week with a big bump on my head which I assume was from banging it on the bedside table so a close call…

Never but twice in the last few months I have jumped out of bed whilst still asleep and having a nightmare that I’m covered in spiders.

Did it a few months ago when I was in the little bed after waking up and thinking I was in the big bed.

oh my god, the key changes in the 999 theme tune

still worry about walking over wasp nests when I’m out in the country sometimes

I got stung by a wasp whilst I was out running the other month and had flashbacks to the 999 episode where a jogger nearly died from a bee sting

did you dial 999?

Didn’t have my phone! That’s why I was panicking.

Just poured some water on it and went home

MICHAEL BURKE: Thankfully, @RoverHendrix lived to laugh about his potentially fatal bee encounter.

If you find yourself in the same situation, remember these steps.

(this wasn’t worth it)
