Guy I used to work with swore you only need to wash your jeans every month. Was a lovely guy, but he smelled so bad I couldn’t go within a metre of him. He eventually realised the error of his ways though, so this story has a happy ending.
Ooh, and if only I’d got here 30 minutes ago then I could have made The View joke
I think this thread would be much improved if people could quote the approximate numbers of hours worn between washes. Thank you.

Good life rule - go by layer. All base layer clothes can only be worn once, all secondary layer stuff 2-3 times, and third layer plus on an ongoing basis.
Just common sense, innit.

After about 3 wears. You are all rotters.
The ones I wear to work every day - weekly (2 pairs on rotation)
The ones I wear at weekends - monthly (about 4 pairs or so).
The further an item of clothing is from your anus, genitals or armpits the less often it will need washing, imho.
That’s not the rumour doing the rounds.
How soon after a thorough shower do you reckon your gens start producing a funk? I reckon about 8 minutes for me.

When they start to smell or are visibly dirty. Every 3 weeks or so probably, then they feel all tight and fresh when dry. You aren’t meant to wash jeans too often, Levis reckon you don’t need to at all.
