Doesn’t murgh just mean chicken?
I like a roshani murgh from my local.

Yep

Since new year we’ve been making curries just with potatoes and veg in and it’s better I think. It’s definitely no worse for having no meat.

What I meant was, are we talking about Indian style curry/sides/starters rather than Thai, Japanese etc etc?

 :kissing_heart:

When I’m at the ol’ sunday buffet I tend to get to a stage where i just refill my plate with the sauce from the hotter curries and onion bhajis, forget the meat, just fill me up on spicy bhaji soup

I had this for the first time last week and wasn’t particularly impressed tbh.

I’ve said it before and I’ll continue to say it. Those little ones you get at restaurants are often very disappointing. I do love a big, been out a week, danger samosa from a local shop counter, though.

Samosa is a starter or snack.
Onion bhaji is for breaking up and scooping up a little of with the naan and some curry so you get the chewy, soft bread, wet sauce and crunchy onion, all at once having a party in your mouth, mmmmmm :yum:

(therefore this poll is void and I refuse to participate in it)

It’s the best food. The best.

Used to be samosa til I had some wonderful bhaji at a stand that also gave you free broken bhaji bits like scraps

Still not had a curry from the new local Nepalese place. Might put that right next weekend

That’s the best bit of a bhaji. The little strands that break off. There’s a place in Bath that just does samosas and onion bhaji wraps and they’re fucking brilliant.

Bhajis are far and away the most overrated thing about Indian food in imho opinion.

Making a curry is one of my favourite things to do in the world. The more elaborate and time consuming the better. I make a 3 stage dopiaza that takes all day and uses more pans than is at all reasonable but tastes like heaven. And I have just the best time dancing around the kitchen getting quietly drunk while making it.

Curry eh? Bloody hell.
