I really want to make my own doughnuts but I’m too scared of deep fat frying

Doughnuts are always disappointing. Always.

What’s not to like?
Mmm soft pastry and sugar glaze :yum:

It’s a 5 from me.

I do like a good doughnut, but I can’t imagine the world being any worse without them. Sorry doughnut lovers.

Went to this place for breakfast about three days running when I went to New York

They sold chocolate cronuts which were the most gratiously unhealthy things I’ve ever eaten

Not sure why we’re still putting anything to a public vote anymore, surely we all know how that goes

(obviously I always vote in these and generally love the whole thing, just having a whine because seriously, better than soup, what the actual?)

I keep forgetting to vote in the poll.

I like regular jam but they disappoint me a lot of the time. I’ve not had any of these fancy ones but would love to try one if anyone’s offering

I did it once and it seemed way easier than I was expecting - did have to use a deep dish filled with oil but I don’t remember it trying really spitty or boiling too hard. Maybe worth another look into’

Let’s say 6. Very fine line between great and gross.

A place in Brisbane (@ma0sm) serves coffee IN a doughnut and serves a 1 kilo doughnut
