Anyway giving doughnuts a bad mark obviously hasn’t had one of Flour Pot Bakery’s Friday specials. They only make doughnuts on Fridays, which is good because I’d be twice my size otherwise

The doughnut shop has now gone, just leaving a post office with a painting from hitchcocks Psycho on the wall.

Also this isn’t entirely correct, it operated for a long while as a post office and doughnut shop concurrently.

I’ve gone with a 6. I rarely, if ever, think β€œMan, I really need a doughnut”, but if someone has brought birthday treats into the office I may think β€œOoooh, doughnuts! Might as well join in…”

Not a huge fan of fillings, prefer a glazed ring myself.

I used to work in a place that had free doughnuts on Mon, Wed and Friday. I really had to force myself to realise that they were just empty calories that just lead to regret.

Would still scoff one if someone brought in a box.

8/10, easy. LOVE the ring doughnuts from some supermarkets that are dusted in icing sugar. Hmm.

Yeah I was coming here to say this, a bad doughnut is like a 2 or 3/10 - just so dry and unappealing and with no fun textural aspects to balance it out.

Good ones are v tasty but they have to be pretty damn fresh imho, I went through a phase of having plenty of the 5 for Β£1 ones and I’m just over that now. Not worth the calories vs. the taste, give me cake or choc or cookies or brownies etc etc any day.
