Anyone else ever called a tricolor panini a tri-colour and got looked at like an absolute berk?
- Of course!
- I would not offend sandwiches like that
- Sounds like a fictional sandwhich

I don’t think I am
As soon as you dip raw bread sandwich in soup it’s going to lose any structural integrity.
Not a fan of soggy bread
Not a sandwich.
Yes.
Oh just seen your response to Funky, above.
I say it’s a sandwich if you’ve put some filling between the two halves and SANDWICHED them together.
If you’re toasting your bagel and eating each half separately, with butter or whatever your spread of choice is, then it’s just a bagel not a sandwich.
if you take a pizza, spread some jam on it and then put an upside down pizza on top of it, is that a sandwich?

Always a solid choice, but too many misery lunch sandwiches out there
baguette is the best sandwich
I don’t know why you would though.
watched Vagabond the other day and kept being distracted by the baguettes
Thank you for your honesty but I’m afraid ciabatta is the best sandwich.
It is little known that the cheese sandwich was invented by an eccentric Earl, who’s manservant misunderstood his request for a simple lunch of cheese and the consumer magazine ‘Which?’. And the rest is history!
A good well-timed sandwich is very hard to beat. 5/5 for me.
Whenever my wife complains that I’m gambling too much, I point out that the sandwich was only invented because the Earl of Sandwich had a significant gambling problem and he needed something convenient to eat while he was chained to, I dunno, the craps table or something.
I had an M&S smoked salmon and cream cheese sandwich just yesterday. It’s a wonderful sandwich.
It’s a 10 from me. When the same effort is put into making a sandwich as other foods then they are great.
Most of the foods so far would make great sandwich fillings.

**Potentially a marshmallow toastie would work but I’ve never tried it.
There aren’t many (any?) bad M&S sandwiches really
Steak, blue cheese, onion, mustard mayo.
I’m really into the ancient grains roll from Lidl atm.
Those grains may be old but they are delicious.
I love soft white bloomer bread/tiger bread but have it as a rare treat.
Love to eat wholemeal /seeded bread for the fibre and the flavour.
Have you never had a pasty sandwich?
