A good homemade lasagna is really nice and comforting.

Have not and will never order it in a restaurant I don’t think.

If it’s a proper Italian restaurant then there’ll definitely be something better on the menu.

If it’s your standard pub grub or chain restaurant hellhole then there will also definitely be something better on the menu.

6.5/10, rounded up to 7.

Is there any bigger disparity between how good homemade lasagne is compared to other homemade things and lasagne in a restaurant compared to other restaurant meals.

yeah, fair enough. I suppose i end up taking food too seriously. Just find it very hard trying to compare the entire first of three Unesco protected cuisines, Traditional Mexican (along side French Gastronomic and Mediterranean) to individual food dishes.

Don’t need to compare them though, just rate what’s put in front of you like a good boy. That’s how I’m getting through it, trust me, my whims annoy me more than they annoy you. Also you should be getting a parcel this week, that’ll help.

6 for me. It’s nice stodge but not a great dish; there’s nothing in lasagna that I wouldn’t prefer in another dish.

Do you like to have a side with lasagne?

  • salad
  • cooked vegetables
  • chips
  • garlic bread
  • nothing whatsoever thank you
  • something really weird like… lime jelly
  • other things

Made a chili lasagna once, with crumbled tortillas on the top with the cheese. Absolutely peng :+1:

Going to my folks this weekend, there’s gonna be homemade lasagna, can’t wait. Possibly the best ‘home’ dish for me, will eat a portion like a breeze block every time. Just so comforting :lasagna:

I think I like variations on lasagne more than standard lasagne, like butternut squash or vincigrassi, which is absolutely brilliant

I like to combine my love of lasagne with my love of Mexican. We use a a chilli for the filling and tortilla wraps for the sheets. It’s a GBOL

Lasagne are odd ones. Really good as part of the al-forno comfort food classic, but I mostly like that for the combinations of flavours, both acidic and cheesy that balance each other out so well. They’re a bit tedious to use otherwise. There are many better forms of pasta, tbh. I’ve gone with 7, as I 9 them in one type of dish, but otherwise they’re just half prepared pieces of pasta

It’s good. Having it for tea tonight

Peas become cheesey peas when you serve them aside lasagne :yum:
