As good as the way it’s cooked tbh. Can’t beat a proper roast beef or lamb with all the trimmings. Few things worse than a grim dry Toby Carvery misery dinner.
A good roast dinner is 10/10, but the ones my mum made growing up really weren’t. I’ll be generous and give it an 8/10

bread sauce is the most underrated of all the sauces imo
Obviously not as good as pizza so I’m giving it a 6
My gf does a v good nut roast though, and my potatoes taste great. Find it so hard to get that crispy consistency to the outside though, think I don’t use enough fat or something but idk.
Nobody has ever had a good roast in a pub.
A good homemade roast dinner is about as good as it gets though.
Tbh I’d be happy with broccoli, mash, gravy, and a big thing of crusty bread
