A good roast dinner is the best meal 10/10
MASH and ROASTIES together
in perfect potato harmony
Waste of space for roasties imo
The last few forkfulls at the end, where you’ve got a little bit of everything, crispy stuffing, cauliflower cheese, mint sauce, gravy… Hnnnnggghhhh
Then just filling up the plate again for a full second helping
Going to make a roast today and it WILL be too much food and all of it will be delicious and i can’t wait and it will be ten on ten. Speaking of ten, i reckon we might have ten vegetables on the plate, maybe. The single best cure for the weekend.
6?!
Fine - I’ll always enjoy one but never actively in the mood for one. Not sure the best roast could ever be more than 8/10 for me.
6/10 overall.

The three crowns in stokey used to be good. I’ve had a nice roast in there

Going to use 3 types of fat on those pototoes.
What’s your blend? I’ve been using coconut, olive and sunflower
Perfect roast;
Roast beef, thinly sliced, pink
Horseradish sauce
Gravy
Roast potatoes, as crispy as possible
Yorkshire pudding
Shredded cabbage
Julienned carrots
Dollop of cauliflower cheese
Nothing more, nothing less
If must, swap the beef and horseradish for chicken and cranberrry sauce
I’ve been tempted to just have the normal roast without meat before
Olive oil to stop the butter burning, and goose fat, just because we bought some years ago and have it in the fridge.
Albert Bartlett rooster potatoes are really good
Butter
Sometimes we get through the best part of a block on one roast.
Cabbage that isn’t pickled or sauerkraut is a 2/10 food
