Whenever I cross the border near Belfast I go into home bargains and buy silly amounts of haribo Jelly babies (have to be the haribo ones), and drumstick squashes.

Dunno why, never really eat them. I’ve got a whole big bag for life full of them now.

This seems like the right sort of thread to have a wee rant about the lack of consistency in available produce at Candy King Pick’n’Mix stands.

They’ve recently introduced (the exceptional) Fairytale Mix to one of my regular haunts but it is not available at other stands of an equivalent size and location. Sometimes you’ll see a “Chocolate Banana” section (not for me but other people might like them) but they’re exceptionally rare.

It seems to me, that the King is letting his logistics team get away with murder.

My all time favourite sweets are skittles sours BUT only if they come from America as they put the sour stuff on the outside and they’re SOOO sour. It’s like citric acid or something and it’s beautiful.
