Always been lucky in that I can fall asleep anywhere.
Getting about 8hrs every night 2am - 10am usually. That’s probably too late to get up for some people but it’s working well for me. Rarely interrupted and get to REM pretty fast.

i find that hard to believe

  • use some sort of sleep tracking device
  • think my phone does something idk
  • get out of my subconscious, google!

true enough

It’s not helped by the fact I find it almost impossible to do anything constructive unless it’s after midnight. Just find new more complicated ways to procrastinated until then.

conversely, i sleep fine as along as i have silence. sleeping in is absolutely impossible with a tv on or listening to podcasts, dunno how people do it.

I used to use one, but didn’t really understand the point. Like, I know already when I’ve been to sleep so…

been going to bed around 12, fucking around reading or on my phone til 1 or 2 then awake at like 8.30 for some reason

can sleep for like 10 hours usually, but I try to avoid that as it fucks me up

Had pretty terrible sleep all of last year and got, for Christmas, a very smart high tech sleep tracker.

It tells me, through the medium of charts and graphs, that if I don’t drink in the evening, I sleep a lot better

has anyone suffered from a strange and interesting phenomenon called “sleep paralysis” recently?

Same as normal here - I’ve fallen asleep on the sofa a bit more/ earlier than usual anything. Im not sure it would be so good without booze most evenings (crucially not too much though) and other stuff that helps me sleep

Finding myself turning in a bit sooner cos I’m just so bored of watching TV every night

Quite fucked really. I’ll sleep brilliantly for 2 or 3 nights, like 9 - 10 hour solid sleeps. Then I’ll have the next 3 nights where I sleep for a handful of hours and have to move to the spare room cause I fidget so much when I can’t get to sleep.

My problem is I can nod off absolutely fine but i’ll sleep around 10:30pm for about 45 minutes, wake up feeling like i’m choking on something, then can’t get back to sleep until 4am.

What are you doing for an hour and a half?

Mostly going to bed at 7am and getting up at 1pm or 2pm

I love it
This is the way I was meant to be

have you listened to sleep with me podcast?
i love that man so much, he just talks absolutely nonsense in a very boring voice and i fall asleep after 10 mins

i haven’t but i’ve got no shortage of true crime podcasts and whatnot. find i can only fall asleep if i find it interesting, like i’m trying to sneak sleep past my brain when it wont notice.

oh right
this is a podcast you’re meant to ignore cause he just goes off on tangents and i’ve listened to parts of it during the day and it makes absolutely no sense whatsoever
I’ve no idea how this guy does it. He does like 3 episodes a week, each an hour and a bit long and he just rambles about nothing
