I get to sleep very quickly most of the time, get a good 8 hours.

My problem is falling asleep downstairs in the evening, about nine or so. Doesn’t stop me then getting to sleep when I go to bed but is annoying for MrS and me as we lose the evening, with kids not going down until about 8.45 or so.

Can also sleep anytime/anywhere for a nap. Is handy.

Awful. Terrible insomnia for years. I also sometimes have panic attacks in my sleep, which result in me waking up very suddenly, heart racing etc. I thought I had sleep apnea but a load of medical tests ruled that out. Who even knew that sleep panic attacks were a thing?!

I get my bf to stroke my ears/hair but I think it’s more the sound that sends me to sleep than the feel? Like white noise basically

all right, James Murphy

quite often toss and turn for 2 hours before I eventually sleep. Sometimes feel like I’m near to having a heart attack, my body feels weird these days.

One good thing about being diagnosed bipolar is the medication being a massive sedative. Extremely deep, long sleep and great dreams every night :+1:t4:

ive found myself doing this more and more, got no idea why

I have a 3 year old, a 6 month old and work 2 on-call nights a week.
I’d say, not that great

Generally getting a better chunk of uninterrupted sleep recently, though would like to get to sleep earlier and also I keep waking up an hour before I need to be up (though sometimes I will doze off again for some of that time).

This is the best my sleep has been since before R was born, even though he has been (mostly) sleeping through since he was quite small, having him just a few feet away I would still wake to any little noise he made.

I should be more disciplined with my bedtime. I have started putting my phone down and reading for a bit before bed, which is great and usually leads to less time lying awake, but I need to do that a bit earlier.

yeah, not to my detriment yet, but it keeps the TV up at night

oh yeah im king napper

I said this very thing yesterday - people thought I was joking, I wasn’t.

My afternoon productivity would increase immensely if I could pop off somewhere quiet for an hour or two for a nap around 1 in the afternoon.

Sleep wise I find mine is pretty mixed and goes through cycles and phases. At the moment I’m finding it a real struggle to get to sleep - the last three or four nights it’s been post midnight (including post 3am Sunday night). I try and keep to the same routine where possible - no screen time after I have an evening bath and read for half an hour before sleep.

During other phases I go completely the other way where I spend three or four nights conking out at 8pm and sleeping through so soundly and heavily that I struggle to get up the following morning.

My phone salaciously says I am, on average, eight hours in bed.

I generally sleep well during the week – find it easy to drop off and difficult to wake. What is important, and I only just realised, is my quality of sleep at the weekend. Stay up until the early morning on both Friday and Saturday and I struggle recovering the rest until midweek.

I am completely reliant on my afternoon nap to function for the rest of the day, I don’t know what I am going to do when R stops needing an afternoon sleep.

Where my dad works they used to have a quiet lounge area where people would nap, I think they ditched it years ago in favour of more office space or something.

Sleep has been bad for ages. It’s not helped by the fact that we’re trying to train our daughter to get up and wee in the night which means I’m setting an alarm for 2.30 and then waking up, trying to get her to have a wee and then back to bed. 2.00 sometimes. The problem is trying to catch her before she wets the bed but often if you’re too early she won’t come so you have to set it for another hour later and go back to bed.

It’s a nightmare, really

Fall asleep pretty much instantly and am then a very heavy sleeper. Sounds great, but waking up when the alarm goes off is a nightmare and then I feel shit for a bit afterwards.

Had about 4 hours sleep last night so feel horrendous today. How did everyone else sleep?

Utterly awfully, again. I keep having extremely vivid dreams. One last night involved Leonard Cohen and an anthropomorphised large white ‘D’ in a red circle, which I can only assume was from seeing @anon82218317’s avatar last night??

Can’t seem to shake the habit of going to bed late and getting 6 hours of sleep. But I seem to be completely fine with just 6-7 hours or even less, and I don’t really get tired. But that can’t be good for my health. Or can it?

I just don’t like going to bed. So I only go to bed when it’s necessary.

mines been so bad recently.

keep findng myself being up aroundnhalf 2 and not knowing if ive been asleep or not.

wish i could get 7 hours one night
