Huge gaps between albums

Can anyone beat the 18 year gap that Daphne & Celeste have?

I like it when bands get back together after ages.

Find it more interesting when the band has stayed together and stayed active.

mbv are an interesting one cos they were I guess broken up but you figure Kevin Shields probably tinkered with stuff loads over the years.

The Wrens are a good one as well.

The Cure haven’t released an album since 2008 but still tour regularly. I think Robert Smith has been quite honest that they’ve tried to record new stuff but it hasn’t been very good. Must be an odd position to find yourself in.
