Human-sized penguin fossil discovered in New Zealand

Pictured here next to a human who is clearly taller than it:

How large is too large when it comes to penguins?

That’s a furby

A big cat?

Oh, a very big cat. AFAIK those don’t exist.

iirc there were loads of giant animals species around Oceania prior to the humans coming over.

Jesus, you’ve just invented them and already you’re thinking about how they could be tamed and made to serve you. Sake man.

So completely entranced by the idea of this era when you had regular animals but massive. Imagine meeting a 10ft sloth

Or a 10ft guinea pig

What a time

The human looks understandably wary that the penguin’s beak could be nearly as lethal as an umbrella

People can barely train regular sized cats tho’ I feel like you’d end up with even less control if the cat was massive.

Looks like a render

Less sad about this piece of nightmare fuel though

looks kinda of quirky at a small size I’d imagine an 8ft version of it would be horrific though

The sloth is okay but the guinea pig is too big.

(possible idea for a film called Guinea Big in which a giant guinea pig voiced by Tom Hanks tries to pass itself off as a normal guinea pig in the modern world)

Unless you could train them to be ridden into battle

Imagine a wall of those fuckers charging towards you
