Caramelised onion please
I regularly think about the spelling. That so many countries claim it as their own doesn’t help matters.
I think ‘houmous’ may be a supermarket thing?

Had a right good laugh with a couple of my Middle-Eastern mates about how Westerners pronounce hummus and falafel.
Heavy emphasis on the first syllable’s right in both, i’m told.
You know what I like to put on humours? Olive oil, lemon and Pomegranate seeds
Constantly baffled by people buying those tubs of slop in the supermarket for £2 when you can make your own at home in 5 mins with about 60p worth of ingredients which will be edible and taste of something other than salt.

Homemade ones are never as nice, and the supermarket ones are £1.
If it’s made from tinned chickers then I would much rather have even the worst supermarket slop.

That is a lot of different varieties
Some sound intriguing, but I think stuff on top/with hummus is generally better than the stuff itself being flavoured.
was a dark day indeed when sainsbos switched their moroccan topped houmous for moroccan flavored houmous. still check the aisle every week to see if they’ve switched back but alas
