:frowning:

I’ve got my fingers crossed for you that it turns out to be something that’s easily treatable and he’s back on his feet soon.

whoops, i meant ryman. apologies to theo.

Bless you, at 36 weeks the baby will be well and truly cooked, and they’ll do everything they can to look after them both in the event that the wee one needs to come out now and get some extra TLC. Sending loads of love. xxx

There’s a Ryman on London Wall :raised_hands:

Thing is, it’s a lot of effort for a thankless task

fact: this is literally 5 seconds from my work

Calm down, Usain Bolt.

Good point, I could do with a spare set of handlebars, stem and shifters

not funny :anguished:

I don’t think I’ve had more than about 3 hours, heavily broken, sleep. Bloody teething.

boss has asked that I give them a couple of days to pull together some counteroffers, and out of respect I have to give them that. However I’m now wracked with indecision and (probably not helped by my completely sleep deprived state and the fact I’ve been ill for about 4 weeks now) I’m feeling like I’m not strong enough for this decision. And actually I’m starting to think I’m crazy for even contemplating taking on a shiny new role with new people to impress when I haven’t even managed to brush my hair this morning, I’ve already cried twice in the loos and been sick once, and am in total and complete disarray. Happy days.

I know. But my mum just called, apparently the doctor says it’s either Crohn’s or ulcerative colitis (which my dad has). He’s only seven :frowning: I feel quite numb at the moment, I’m going round later, but have been warned not to talk about it in front of the kids for obvious reasons.

Hey UP - I don’t know you well, but if there’s one thing I do know about you, it’s that you’re definitely strong enough to make this decision - your gut was telling you what you feel is right last week, so I’d say unless your boss comes back with something that you believe they can follow through on and blows your new opportunity out of the water, you probably know what will be right for you deep down.

Do your best to look after yourself in the meantime (not easy, I know!)

Sorry to hear that xylo :frowning: It’s a bloody drudge sometimes isn’t it. Hoping for the best for your mum.

Thanks, you are of course correct! Last week I was pretty convinced that the move was the correct decision, but they (current bosses) have said a few things that have taken the shine off it for me/ made me worry about the new place. I know that’s par for the course when you hand your notice in, and they’re just trying to keep me, but I’m starting to worry (and I’m NOT usually a worrier, so I suspect this is just 48 hours of fuck all sleep talking now)

Thanks CZ.
